Diana Rohini LaVigne

Diana Rohini LaVigne is a community leader, environmental educator, and advocate for public education. She serves on the Board of the Association for Environmental & Outdoor Education (AEOE) and is a certified California Naturalist and Environmental Educator.
Diana Rohini teaches environmental education activities through environmental education family camps throughout the bay area, Fun Fridays at Pleasanton Virtual Academy and has assisted with outdoor education during the Adult Transition Program’s camping trip. She also serves on the leadership team of Lift Up Public Schools, a coalition committed to supporting strong, inclusive public education for all students.

Heather Pereira
Principal and School Administrator Representative
Heather Pereira is a veteran public education leader with over 20 years of experience in classroom teaching and district administration. As Principal of Educational Options for Pleasanton Unified School District, she supports diverse learners and promotes strong academic standards. Heather is committed to thoughtful leadership, transparency, and strengthening trust between schools and the communities they serve.
Cary Fukada
President
Cary Fukada is a longtime Pleasanton parent, PTA leader, and advocate for students with diverse learning needs. He serves as President of Educational Options PTSA and is actively involved with the PTA Council Special Needs Committee (SNC), helping connect families with resources and build a more inclusive school community. Cary previously served as President of Pleasanton PTA Council and on PUSD’s LCAP Advisory Committee. He brings more than 20 years of professional experience in engineering, renewable energy, and program management.
Anoushka Gupta
Chair, Communications Committee
Anoushka Gupta is a high school student at Pleasanton Virtual Academy (PVA), where she has served on the PVA Leadership Team since 2024. A competitive equestrian, she competes in hunter seat, jumpers, and derbies as a member of her barn’s Sterling I team. In 2025, Anoushka was a Zone 10 finalist, competing against top riders from California, Nevada, and Hawaii and placing fifth in her division.
Anoushka is the Communications Committee Chair for Educational Options PTSA and has volunteered with numerous nonprofits, including Reins in Motion, Sunol Repertory Theatre, Museum on Main, and Lift Up Public Schools. She is also a co-founder of Hobby Horse California, which organizes events and meetups throughout the state and sponsors the annual U.S. Hobby Horse Championships in Michigan. In her free time, Anoushka enjoys drawing, animation, swimming, crafting, and spending time with her family, friends, and her best canine friend.
